TwitterHawk v3.0 released

It’s been a qhile between updates, but for good reason. A lot of work has been going on to get the site to a much higher level than what it was, and also introduce simpler user and more advanced features at the same time. The site has also had a complete design and logo overhaul.

A sample of the main changes are:

  • Introduction of the ‘dashboard’
  • Easier addition of multiple accounts
  • Each twitter account now has it’s own account page, rather than listed in one long list
  • All sections / tabs on the account page have been overhauled to be much neater and straight forward for their task
  • Each section is shown at first in minimized view, with the ability to open each item for more information / editing
  • The ‘add search’ section now has a tool to help build complex searches, simple click the ‘try the search builder’ button when you are creating a new search. This helps non-power users with location based and time based searching
  • The dashboard features a ‘twitterhawk noise ratio’ for each twitter account that allows you to monitor your twitterhawk vs natural tweet ratio
  • @twithawk current twitter feed is placed in the footer
  • Change log has been moved from a static page to a wordpress powered blog

So if you haven’t joined yet, now’s a great time as ALL accounts on the system before April 26th, new or old, will receive an EXTRA 10 free credits (even people who are currently out of credits).

  1. It looks AWESOME! I gotta check it now, as I’ve been a passionate user for the last couple of weeks and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty on the new and improved interface!
Just so you know, the kind of advertising you envisioned works so well! I’ve spent almost 2500 USD for an advertising campaign, which isn’t as targeted as yours, and they’re only with one position in front of the users brought by twitter (obviously because of your website).

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Guys, if I may, here’s some feedback:

    1. I believe the send queue should automatically update whenever I delete or send a message. Right now it remains to the same number of messages in the queue, even if I answered to the tweets I wanted.

    2. I found the campaign pretty hard due to the interface changes. Could you make it even more obvious for the users, with a direct link for example, where they can send their messages?

    3. There are still some bugs, for example when I click on the update now, above manage campaign, I got some PHP errors:

    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: Notice

Message: Trying to get property of non-object

    Filename: controllers/dashboard.php

    Line Number: 95

    4. Under the STATS tab, it isn’t obvious which text is clickable, and which isn’t. It might help if you make the credits text the blue color you are using.

The rest is well thought of and looks amazing! Good job again!

Thanks for the feedback! So glad to get the site up and running, im sure @duellsy will be on the case to fix these issues and ill look into making the manage campaign more user friendly.

    thanks again

    Hi Andrei,

As matt said, I’ll be fixing up any issues that are found as they pop up. While I tried to test as much as I could, there are bound to be situations I hadn’t catered for. The ‘update now’ should hopefully work for you now.
In regards to the other requests, they’ve all been taken on board.

Thanks for the kind words and support :)

    Cheers,

    Chris
